Castelmagno (CN)
The Fauniera Col enchants hikers in the winter season. The starting point, the Sanctuary of San Magno, is worth alone the ascent to the upper Grana Valley. The itinerary requires the ability to evaluate the snow pack and follows almost entirely the track of the carriage road up to the Trofarello Hut. From here, it turns sharply south-west towards the col. Ideal trip towards the end of the season when the possible avalanches have already occurred and the slopes above the road are discharged.
