Halfway between Ecrins and Queyras, Guillestrois is known for its extraordinary landscape: mountain footpaths, easily crossed mountain passes and breath-taking views. In all, it boasts 22 signposted circuits, the equivalent of over 350 km of trails that will suit all mountain biking enthusiasts as well as downhill trails (which can be reached from the Risoul and Vars ski resorts, in the Forêt Blanche ski district). If you fancy an excursion, the fantastic three-day tour of Guillestrois stretches from Durance to the mountains of Queyras along the hilltop crests of the Forêt Blanche ski district.
