Crissolo (CN)
The two most interesting icefalls in the area are surely the Proboscide and the Velo di Sposa. The first one is a thin candle, suggestive to see and challenging to climb. The second one is a very technical and rewarding climb. The approach is about 30 minutes’ walk for both falls and the conditions are easily verifiable from the road. In the same area there are Il Colonnato (The Colonnade) (I / 4-), with ice that remains until spring and Lacrime di Allah (Tears of Allah) (II / 4 +), more difficult and technical one and that is rarely formed.
