Crissolo (CN)
This is a classic ski mountaineering route in the Po Valley, very popular at the beginning of spring with safe and settled snow conditions. The ascent, along the Vallone delle Traversette (Traversette Valley), alternates a succession of steep cliffs and gentle stretches until you reach the remains of an old barrack and then the Luisas Col on the watershed with the Pellice valley. The summit is unexpected: a large flat terrace marked by an impressive little stone man. In the beautiful days the view goes from the Monviso massif, to the peaks of the Valle d’Aosta and Mount Rosa.
