Information
Situated in an isolated position (Parish of Marmora hamlet), this ancient parish church houses evidence of this little town’s past in the upper Maira Valley.
The votive epigraph tells us about the vitality of this area in Roman times, while the exterior frescoes of the 14th and 15th centuries, the latter being the work of Tommaso Biasacci, evoke memories of the late medieval period. Of particular interest are the Gothic bell tower with mullioned windows, the late Romanesque octagonal baptismal font and the two sundials. Worth mentioning in the same municipality is the chapel of the saints Sebastiano and Fabiano.
