Information
The ascent takes place in a wild environment little upstream of Ponte Marmora, surrounded by a forest of fir trees and sparse beeches. The icefall can be reached on foot in about 20 minutes along a forest track that goes up the slope on the orographic right of the river Maira. It’s a five-pitch-climb that alternates gradients between 60-75°, a simple gully and a beautiful exit among the rocks. The descent follows a steep path through the trees that re-joins the ascent way.
