Sampeyre (CN)
An ideal trip at the beginning of the season with powder snow, but easy to find with spring snow even in the middle of winter, thanks to exposure and low altitude. The classic route starts from the hamlet Ruà, just above the village of Becetto and climbs through a pine forest to reach the large repeater placed on the top. This trip, however, lends itself to be climbed also from the valley of Gilba with a slightly longer path, or from the nearby Po valley. Alongside Garitta Nuova, we report also the beautiful routes of Mount Riba del Gias, of the Col of Cervetto and of Peak Crosa.
