Information
An evocative route that starts and finishes in the medieval square called piazza Castello, surmounted by the majestic Castiglia tower. Its secondary roads lead to Manta with its unique Castle decorated with the frescoes dating back to the late Gothic period. They are amongst the most important frescoes in Europe. It is also possible to reach Verzuolo and Piasco: this is where the uphill road that leads to San Bernardo del Vecchio starts. To go back, we cross the border between Varaita and Bronda valleys: a splendid view of the Cottian Alps, dominated by the Monte Viso.
