Information
This stage kicks off from Arvieux, from where you immediately start pedalling along the 9 km uphill stretch on a wide track towards the mountain pass Col de Furfande. Here, breathtaking sceneries welcome you in all their grandeur. A superb single-trail in high altitude meadows and wooden huts rapidly descends De Guil valley, losing altitude and crossing wild natural landscapes. The descent ends at Maison du Roy. Here, the road goes uphill on asphalt for a short stretch. A scenic shaded dirt road on the hydrographic left of the stream guides you to the typical village of Guillestre, home of the fortified Unesco heritage site of Mont Dauphin.
