Pontechianale (CN)
Excellent excursion under every condition: with spring snow, or with fresh powder at the beginning of the season, even after heavy snowfall. You climb on the slopes above the village of Chianale, classified as one of Italy’s most beautiful villages (Borghi più belli d’Italia). The gradient is moderate, so you ascend steadily, passing alongside the blockhouses built in the 1940s, during the war against France, before WW2. The summer pastures become great skiable slopes, ideal for beginners.
