Villar San Costanzo, a small municipality at the entrance to the Maira Valley, is a very popular destination amongst enthusiasts of medieval art and architecture.
San Costanzo al Monte is a Romanesque-Gothic architecture complex located in an isolated position amongst forests on the slopes of Monte San Bernardo. Positioned on two levels, with the crypt on the lower and the church on the upper, it features refined stone decoration on the external apses, on the capitals and in the carved decorations. It is a unique site of its type from which you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Cuneo plain.
In the surrounding area, you should visit the medieval crypt in the Parish church of san Pietro in Vincoli and the Ciciu del Villar Reserve
